Sister Gail Buckman, SSND has been teaching for the past 49 years in the St. Louis and St. Charles area, and is currently in her 24th year of teaching at St. Gabriel the Archangel School. She has taught general music, high school vocal, and Middle School/Junior High Band.
She is active in several professional associations. Sister Gail has served as President of the St. Louis Metro District #8, of the Missouri Music Educators, three seperate times. Sister Gail has been professionally recognized and has received numerous awards for her educational achievements. She was awared the “Art Educator of the Year” in 2003, by the St. Louis Arts and Education Council. Sister Gail also received the Emerson Award in 2003. She received the “Outstanding Music Educator” of 2013, from Metro District #8 of Missouri Music Educators Association.
