Welcome to our class web page! I am excited to be a 3rd grade teacher at St. Gabriel’s! This is my first year at St. Gabriel’s and I’m really looking forward to being a part of this faith-filled school and community!

I grew up in the St. Louis County area (Ballwin) and I attended Catholic schools in the area. For K-8th grade I went to St. Joseph’s Manchester. During high school I attended DeSmet Jesuit High. DeSmet’s motto is “Men For Others” and this motto and terrific teachers really made me want to serve and give back to my community.

This is my 13th year in teaching. I have taught in the public school system up until now. However, I felt a calling to teach in a Catholic school and am thrilled I have gotten that opportunity at St. Gab’s.

I began my teaching career as a Title 1 Reading teacher. I also am trained in Reading Recovery to help struggling readers. My certification is in Elementary 1-6. I am also certified in Language Arts 5-9th grades. I have spent the majority of my educational career teaching 3rd and 4th grades.

I received my educational degrees from Truman State University (undergraduate), Southern Illinois University Edwardsville (Masters) and Webster University (teaching certification).
