A Note from the Principal

Dear families,

Please read the attached letters from Monsignor Shamleffer and Archbishop Carlson concerning the assignment of Father Joseph Jiang as an assistant pastor here at St. Gabriel the Archangel.  The meeting tomorrow evening is canceled as a result.

Fr. Jiang rescind 2018.docx

Thank you for an incredible school year!  We appreciate your partnership in ensuring St. Gabriel the Archangel provides our students with the best possible academic and faith formation possible.  We could not do it without you!  As we reflect upon the end of another school year, we thought this prayer articulated our thoughts well.

Christ, Teacher and Lord,

Bless all in this school as we seek to end our year

with the grace You so generously provide.

We give thanks for the students and the faculty, the administrators,

and all who have contributed to this year of nurturing and growth.

We affirm all the positive moments:

Of insight, of the excitement of learning,

Of accomplishment, of creativity,

Of laughter, of a sense of community.

We recognize the times of struggle, of difficult work,

of misunderstanding,

Even of failure…

We give these to You for transformation,

So they can become seeds that will find fertile soil.

As we leave for the summer,

May we take with us the knowledge

that You will keep us all in Your embrace

so we may rest and be restored,

And so we can continue in the ongoing discovery of Your Love.

On a personal note, thank you for a great few years here at St. Gabriel.  I will always be grateful for the opportunity to have led the incredible students of St. Gabriel the Archangel.  Their kindness, generosity, humor, faith, and love were truly a gift to be around each day.  I will miss you all greatly and wish you the best.  Thank you for everything.

*Please note that EduConnect is now closed for all students.  This allows teachers time to input grades into the system.

  • Accounts will reopen for everyone on June 11th.  If you have an outstanding balance on your tuition or still owe any fees, grades will remain locked.  If you have an 8th grader, final transcripts will not be forward to his/her high school until all payments are made.

Have a safe and happy summer!

Mrs. Slattery

Recycle your Used Markers

Crayola ColorCycle

Crayola and schools across North America are banding together to help kids understand the importance of their role in protecting the environment.  As you clean out backpacks and desks at home, collect any used Crayola markers and have your students drop them in the boxes outside of the main office so we can send them back to Crayola to be repurposed.

Corpus Christi Procession

All are invited on the Solemnity of Corpus Christi to partake in a Eucharistic procession following the 6pm Mass on Sunday June 3, 2018.  As we the body of Christ bring the Body of Christ into our neighborhood we will give thanks for his living presence found in our midst.  The 2nd graders are invited to wear their First Communion outfits to Mass and in the procession. The procession will conclude with Ice Cream.
