A Note from the Principal
We’d like to send a special note of gratitude to all veterans who have served on our behalf. After Mass this morning, the fifth-grade class put together a wonderful celebration honoring all of the veterans in our lives. We appreciate the fifth graders’ efforts and all of the sacrifices the veterans have made.
High School Applications-
8th grade parents, the high school online application is open until the 15th. Please be sure to complete the application before the deadline. There is additional information about the application process and the High School Open House below.
Congratulations to the students who auditioned for the St. Louis Metro District Concert and Jazz Band on Saturday. They all did a fine job. We had one student who made it into the Metro District Concert Band and another student made it into the Metro District Jazz Band. Their concert will be later in November. We are proud of all of these students.
End of the trimester-
The trimester ends this Friday, November 10th. We closed EduConnect today to enter grades. EduConnect will reopen for parents Friday, November 17th at 3:00 p.m.
Per school policy, tuition payments need to be up-to-date in order to have grades released and EduConnect opened. For those on the one- or two-payment plan, the July billing should be paid in full at this time. The technology fee and one-third of the band fee should also be paid at this time.
Baptismal Mass is on Thursday, November 16th. It was mistakenly listed as the 17th in the CRE newsletter.
At the all school Mass on November 21st, there will be a collection in support of the SGA- SVDP efforts and for the new Assisi House that is opening in Baden to provide transitional housing for women who are homeless. Students may bring a canned good, personal care item, or $1.00 to support these efforts to Mass on the 21st.

Confirmation Sponsor Meeting
The Confirmation Sponsor Meeting has been rescheduled for Thursday, November 9th at 7:00 pm in the cafeteria. We look forward to seeing the Confirmation students and their sponsors. Let’s keep the students and sponsors in our prayers. May they know the power of the Holy Spirit working in their lives!

Attention all students and teachers!
At the auction last year, one of our families received one of the “Principal for the Day” packages. Now 3 of our students are giving students and teachers special privileges for the day on Friday, November 10th, 2017. The privileges are as follows:
- All students and teachers may dress down- PJ bottoms (long) may be worn. Shorts and sandals/flip flops are not allowed.
- All students may bring a minimal amount of candy, i.e., candy bar, small bag or one piece of candy, etc. to eat during a time designated by the classroom teacher!
- Small, stuffed animals may be carried. No more than 12”!
- The 3 student “Principal for the Day” homerooms will get extra recess!
We send our best wishes to the family as they get an insight into what it means to be a principal.

Archangel Activities 2018 is looking for exciting new class suggestions and/or qualified instructors! Classes begin mid-January, are held after-school, one-time per week, for approximately 10 weeks. If you have ideas for a class that you would like offered, or you know someone interested in teaching a class, we want to hear from you!

High School Applications for 8th Graders
Dear 8th Grade Parents,
The Catholic High School Admissions process is now open. We know this can be an overwhelming process. Please remember that all of the options are good, and it is about finding the best fit for your student. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to reach out to the administration. It is extremely important that parents fill out the online application before November 15th. The link is on the flyer attached below. If you have any questions regarding particular schools, information on each Catholic high school can be found at www.archstl.org.
It is important to us that our students stay focused on finishing their year at St. Gabriel the Archangel as St. Gabriel the Archangel students. High school sweatshirts are not to be worn as part of the school uniform as this can cause stress and competition among the students. We appreciate your support in this matter.
