A Note from the Principal

Dear families,

Happy Halloween!  We wish you all a safe and fun night of trick-or-treating!  We also wish you a blessed All Saints Day tomorrow!  There will be no school since it is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Mass times are 6am, 8am, noon, and 6pm.

High School Applications-

8th-grade parents, the high school online application form opens tomorrow and will remain open until the 15th.  Please be sure to complete the application before the deadline.  There is additional information about the application process and the High School Open House below.

PFA Meeting Dress Down-

If you attended the PFA Parent Meeting on October 26th, your youngest or only child will be sent home with a dress down pass for your student(s) in the Wednesday envelope.  The dress down day will be on Friday, November 3rd.  Please see the dress down uniform code in the Parent Handbook.

End of the trimester-

The trimester ends November 10th. We will close EduConnect on Wednesday, November 8th to enter grades.  EduConnect will reopen for parents Friday, November 17th at 3:00 p.m.

Per school policy, tuition payments need to be up-to-date in order to have grades released and EduConnect opened.  For those on the one- or two-payment plan, the July billing should be paid in full at this time.  The technology fee and one-third of the band fee should also be paid at this time.

Uniform Reminder-

Uniform shorts can no longer be worn after October 31st.  Please ensure students are dressed in uniform pants, skirt, or jumper when they return on November 2nd.

Happy Halloween!

Mrs. Slattery

High School Applications for 8th Graders

Dear 8th Grade Parents,

The Catholic High School Admissions process will open next week.  We know this can be an overwhelming process.  Please remember that all of the options are good, and it is about finding the best fit for your student.  It is extremely important that parents fill out the online application between November 1st and 15th.  The link is on the attached flyer, but it will not open until the 1st.  If you have any questions regarding particular schools, information on each Catholic high school can be found at www.archstl.org.

It is important to us that our students stay focused on finishing their year at St. Gabriel the Archangel as St. Gabriel the Archangel students.  High school sweatshirts are not to be worn as part of the school uniform as this can cause stress and competition among the students.  We appreciate your support in this matter.

                                                                                                Mrs. Slattery
